This is an archive of the 2007 Mad Robin Ball web site. To learn about the upcoming Mad Robin Ball, see our current ball page.

Mad Robin flies for the sixth time on June 9, 2007. Our dancing mistress this year will be the locally beloved and internationally known Sharon Green. The band will feature local favorites Chuck Ward and Jim Oakden, joined by Marnen Laibow-Koser of the renowned Flying Romanos from the New York area. We return once again to the elegant Hermann Sons Hall in Petaluma for the Saturday afternoon workshop and evening ball. This year Mad Robin is honored to welcome a delegation of 18 dancers from Japan, led by caller Hiroyuki Ikema. Sharon Green has worked her magic on BACDS and the Mad Robin Ball committee to organize three special dances on the days adjacent to the Mad Robin Ball. These extra dances, feature a slew of callers and the entire Flying Romanos band from New York, so get ready for a full Mad Robin Weekend!

Mad Robin is an English Country Dance Ball organized by the English dance group in Sebastopol, founded by Lydee Scudder and sponsored by the North Bay Country Dance Society. A chance to dress up, meet new dancers, explore Sonoma County and dance to wonderful live music. We hope to see you at the next Mad Robin Ball!
