June 8, 2016. An important message for friends of Mad Robin Ball. We learned a few days ago from Joanna Reiner that she will be unable to join us in California because she needs to attend to a close family member who was just in a serious accident. We will enjoy dancing Joanna's program to calling by our local callers Bruce Hamilton, Sharon Green, and Alan Winston. Alisa Dodson will take Joanna's place for the Sunday afternoon dance in Sebastopol. We are grateful to Bruce, Sharon, Alan, and Alisa for springing into action to fulfill Joanna's vision for our 2016 Ball. And we wish all the best for Joanna and her family in a difficult time.
Join us on June 11, 2016, for the fifteenth Mad Robin Ball in the elegant Hermann Sons Hall in Petaluma, California. This year we are delighted to welcome Joanna Reiner, from Philadelphia, as our dancing mistress. We look forward to music by Charlie Hancock, Jim Oakden, and Shira Kammen. Following the Saturday afternoon workshop and evening ball, we'll continue Sunday with a potluck brunch and special Sebastopol dance to make it a full weekend of fun.
Mad Robin is an English Country Dance Ball organized by the English dance group in Sebastopol and sponsored by the North Bay Country Dance Society. A chance to dress up, meet new dancers, explore Sonoma County and dance to wonderful live music in a grand old ballroom. We hope to see you at the next Mad Robin Ball!
